Start 2021 by winning the magnificent Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Ghost and Rare - Brora

Hot on the heels of our very popular Christmas competition for a £700 bottle of Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix (won by Malcolm Gadella from Edgware - See below), we have launched our January 2021 competition with an equally impressive whisky up for grabs.

This time we have the first release from Johnnie Walker's Ghost and Rare series, the Brora and Rare edition. Originally launched in 2017 this 70cl bottling is in such short supply and high demand that (if available at all) it is retailing at £900+ (See here and here or here)

But, good news for Dream Whiskies fans. If you don't fancy coughing up the best part of a grand, you can enter our competition for just 50p a go and give yourself the chance of winning it for less than the price of a postage stamp! Just like Malcolm Gedalla did with our Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix!

So, how does the competition work?

Simple, you have to answer a whisky based question and then enter. That's it! All correct answers are then entered in to our whisky prize draw at the close of the competition with the winer selected at random. Entries are 50p a time with the option to enter multiple times to increase the number of entries that you have in the final draw! You can enter here.

So, what's up for grabs?

This is what Johnnie Walker have to say......

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora is a rich, velvety smooth blend of eight treasured Scotch Whiskies including three "ghost" whiskies from the silent distilleries of Cambus, Pittyvaich and the Highland Single Malt, Brora, which lies at the heart of this special release bringing a deliciously light peatiness and sophisticated subtle sweetness.

Johnnie Walker Master Blender, Dr. Jim Beveridge, has long been fascinated by how whiskies from a small number of iconic distilleries that closed many years ago can bring the extraordinary richness for which Johnnie Walker Blue Label luxury Scotch is known.

In crafting Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora, Jim blended the three ghost whiskies with five rare expressions of malt and grains from the existing distilleries of Royal Lochnagar, Clynelish, Glenkinchie, Glenlossie and Cameronbridge.

The result is a wonderfully smooth Scotch, with the fruity sweetness of pineapple, rich notes of hazelnut and dark chocolate and a subtle smoky finish.

If you fancy joining Malcolm as one of our winners by adding this truly wonderful, highly desirable whisky, worth the best part of a thousand pounds to your collection, we suggest heading straight over to the competition page on our website and getting yourself in the game.

The competition closes on February 6th with the winner announced by the 10th, giving us just enough time to get the whisky to you for Valentine's Day!

Note: Our competition is open to players from all countries with local and national laws on alcohol ownership and consumption applying. If you win you will be asked to provide proof of identity and age.
