When I got really serious about drinking whisky and trying different brands I was on an overnight training course at a New Forest hotel. They had a selection of whiskies called the "Classic Malts". We all decided to try a dram of each one, appropriately led by our Manager who was of course a Scot. There were 6 whiskies in the classic malts back then. Perhaps one months prize could be a collection representing those six.

Nice idea @Paul Slade As I'm sure you are aware, the Classic Malts range is really extensive now. Do you remember what you tasted back then?
Indeed I do, mainly because I still have my old "Friends" journal. The 6 at that time were Dalwhinnie 15, Oban 14, Cragganmore 12, Glenkinchie 12, Talisker 10 and a Laguvulin 16. After that evening I was well and truly hooked.
@Paul Slade Ah yes, of course, the Diageo 6. We are certainly giving a lot of thought to how we take DW forward and that includes the nature of the prizes too. Nice idea there.
